She is primarily responsible for our inspection services and design services, the mainstays of our corporation. She is the majority shareholder of our corporation. Mrs. Rashedi-Ashrafi has more than 30 years experience in civil engineering and hydrology engineering. She also has more than 20 years experience in corporate top management. She has undertaken several hydrology and environmental research studies. She has analyzed and designed foundations as well as drainage systems for numerous clients. She has provided and supervised numerous structural and civil engineering inspection and design services to various clients.​
 

Mrs. Rashedi-Ashrafi holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Oklahoma. She is a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Texas.

Mr. Nick Manesh, Ph.D., P.E., J.D. is our Chief Engineer and Executive Vice President. He is a major shareholder of our corporation. He is primarily responsible for all investment and project decisions. He also engages with great interest in innovative engineering design and solutions.

  Mr. Manesh has over 30 years of experience in various fields of engineering. He has more than 20 years experience in corporate top management. His experience includes but is not limited to conducting various engineering research projects and feasibility studies, undertaking thousands of structural inspections of commercial and residential properties, designing innovative engineering solutions and materials, constructing commercial and residential buildings, repairing and installing foundations and drainage systems in commercial and residential applications, serving as a forensic expert witness, arbitrating and mediating disputes, and writing book chapters and articles. He also served as the founding Chairman of the Engineering Department and Acting Chairman of the Mathematics Department at Paul Quinn College in Dallas. He further taught at Southern Methodist University and at the University of Texas at Arlington as Visiting Professor. He is the past Chairman of the Continuing Education program of the School of Engineering and Applied Science at Southern Methodist University. Mr. Manesh is a member of the National Republican Congressional Committee Business Advisory Council. Mr. Manesh holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Engineering Science (Geotechnical Engineering) from the University of Oklahoma. He is a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Texas. He also holds a Juris Doctor degree from Newport University. He is a certified Arbitrator and Mediator.

Mark J Morgan, PMP – Director of Development

Mark Morgan serves as our Director of Development and is involved in every level of project finance and corporate marketing for our engineering and design/build services. A&L is focused currently on commercial property projects, with several opportunities in the hospitality, multi-family and tenant-owned office complex markets. Mark’s duties include:

With a wealth of experience in project finance and project management, Mark has been successful in financing developments from $500,000 to $200 million.  He has a BS in Business Communications and Journalism from the University of Kansas, and has vast experience in the Finance and Energy sectors. Mark is also a Project Management Professional (PMP), certified through the Project Management Institute.

Ms. Nia Nikmanesh is our Geotechnical Scientist. In this capacity she undertakes our geotechnical investigations and design.  She is responsible for our soil testing laboratory.

Her responsibilities encompass environmental investigations including the preparation of Phase I and Phase II environmental reports. She further assists with administrative tasks of our business operations.​

 

Ms. Nikmanesh has a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Geological Sciences from the University of Texas at Austin. She has more than 3 years experience with A & L having previously served as a management intern with us.
